Chasing the urgent completion of a new coupling shaft for the S/C Chassis Unit, which is causing delays.

Further to our memo. of 11.12.36. and 5.1.37 requesting you to fit the new coupling shaft to the unit you will observe that it is now nearly five weeks since this was originally called for and over a fortnight since it was urgent. Work on the shaft appears to have progressed to the stage when about a day would see it finished and as the unit is otherwise ready to run, delay is now up against the millwrights.
