Dear Sirs,

RE BENTLEY "A". DROP HEAD COUPE.

When your Mr. Ward was at our Works we believe we pointed out to him the trouble with the All-weather Drop Head Coupe on the Bentley "A" Chassis, in which the steering wheel is too close to the screen finisher. Derby have carefully checked that the steering wheel is in the correct position.

The writer has had a look at the car and it appears as though this finisher is thicker and deeper than it need be near the centre of the screen and he suggests that you arrange for your men whilst in Derby to remove and thin down this finisher so as to give the maximum possible clearance for the fingers at this point.

We are aware that this finisher is somewhat controlled by its having to conceal the screen wiper drive but at the moment that is not the limitation.

We also suggest that you look at the full size drawing to see what clearance was called for.

Yours faithfully,
EJ.
