x4300 c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} BY9/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 28. 4. 24. ---------------------- HEATING OF BODIES. A discussion has been going on betwixt this Department and Sales, CJ. himself being interested, in regard to the use of the Argen Heating Scheme and its application to R.R. Cars. The general idea of the scheme is that the fitting inside the body is heated by hot air which is drawn from round the outside of the silencer pipe. The hot air is drawn through the heating apparatus by a special nozzle which is fitted to the outlet, acting as an ejector. I attach herewith copy of a letter from the Argen Company, to which we would like to draw your attention with the object of you interesting yourself specially in this heating scheme. We would like you also to get Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} to try the car. My original comments were unfavourable. CJ. then came into the issue, pointing out that he thought we should give this particular type of heater special attention. I would like Mr. Clough or myself to see the general scheme as well. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Will you please let us know what the Chassis No. is? | ||
