Dear Sirs,

We have yours of 20th inst. (ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS14/P) and note that you have under consideration the question of standardising the Bentley Battery on the 20/25-HP Chassis.
We know of course that you will have gone into this very thoroughly, but we thought that the present 20/25x battery on the 20/25 was down to the lowest limits of capacity, and often a bit on the small side considering the way these cars have grown up and become so much larger with so many more lights and electrical fittings, etc. etc.

You will appreciate of course that the Bentley battery is not so robust and it will not last as long. Whereas owners of a sporting car such as the Bentley may not mind rather more frequent battery renewal for the sake of cutting down weight, will the owners of 20/25's like to find that they are getting less battery life?

If you want the same general construction of battery as on the Bentley, would you consider a BGD.11-SC, which would be exactly the same in every way and in appearance except that it would have two more plates per cell and be 2" to 3" longer?

Yours faithfully,

PETO & RADFORD.
