COMPLAINT CASE
CHASSIS B.100.HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales} - Mr. P. MICHELIN

We confirm having wired to you this morning as follows:

SEND AIR MAIL URGENT SIX CONNECTING RODS COMPLETE AND LARGE CAPACITY OIL PUMP WITH PIPING CHASSIS BENT ONE HUNDRED HK{Col. T. Harker - Sales} FRANCOBRIT.

We received a telephone call from Mr. Michelin yester-day to say that he had left his car at Rouen, which is about 130 Kms. from Paris, owing to a bad knock having developed in the engine.

As far as we are able to ascertain, we think that one of the big end bearings has failed.

We have made arrangements for the above car to be brought to our Workshops, where it should arrive this evening. As soon as we receive the car, we will investigate as to the cause of the trouble, and let you have a full report upon the matter.

Needless to say that the owner, who handles his car very carefully and does not let the engine exceed 3800 or at most 4000 r.p.m. on any gear, is very annoyed about what has happened.

With regard to the material we have ordered for this car, please do not let the large capacity oil pump we have ordered hold up the dispatch of the connecting rods. We want to get this car on the road again as quickly as possible. If the large oil pump and necessary pipes cannot be dispatched with the connecting rods, then the pump should follow as quickly as possible.
