Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/AM8.11.31 contd -2- We should like you to keep an eye on the brakes to see if the drums start to score as on 25-EX. Our own opinion is that they will wear alright until the scoring starts and then the rate of wearwill increase enormously. We presume that you are taking precautions to ascertain if the propeller ever does hit the cross member with the existing arrangement. You will doubtless let us know in due course about detonations with increased ignition advance and whether the performance is affected.
