RE EXPLOSIONS IN THE SILENCER
With reference to the above and comparative tests with the Polyrhoe and R.R. Carburettors Mr Hives finds that he is able to obtain a considerable difference in the working of the R.R. carburettor by replacing the present adjustable cone jets by ordinary plain jets without any adjustment.
This matter is I think very important and I should to carry out further experiments with same, and I shall be glad if you will instruct for two plain jets to be supplied and to be fitted to the carburettor, the bore of the jets not to be greater than .1" and the cone should be made to suit, otherwise the cap and the rest of the carburettor should be the same as the present standard.
I shall be glad to hear from you that such has been ordered and what prospects there are of same being received on test.
