You will no doubt have heard that it is desired to delete the serrations on the cross bolt in the rocker shaft of the Phantom III steering which forms the bearing for the cam roller. Because the nut of the bolt has to be filed in order to clear the cam it is necessary that another means be provided for preventing the bolt from turning. On LeC.5556 herewith we show a bolt having a snug on its head to achieve this purpose. It is imperative that the position of the drilling for the split pin be indexed as shown relative to the position of the snug on the bolt head.
