With reference to the three paragraphs marked 1, 2 and 3, CJ. has read this report of yours and has asked me to write you as follows :-

With regard to Page 4, CJ. agrees that you should get the car to Works and that all Technical Officials should try it and that if any suggestions should be made without altering the standard or sacrificing the R.R. virtues, let them be fully considered.

With regard to the Ps. at the end of EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s report, CJ. has asked me to ask you why we should take the car back. Let Mr. Geoffrey Summers have the bother of selling it. We never said the car would go over 80 miles an hour as it appears to do.

Will you kindly let me know, for CJ's information why you made this suggestion.
