contd :- -2- parts will be entirely scrap when the super-sports is built, we have purposely done nothing with them. All the items we have mentioned should in our opinion be gone on with because if they are not used in exactly the same form on the 'SS{S. Smith}', they enable valuable information to be obtained so that there is likely to be much less trouble on the new car. As an instance, although the central oiling will have to be completely revised for the new car, we think the information which we shall have gained by experimenting with it will be invaluable. All the items mentioned have been produced experimentally and are fitted to 12-EX car which is leaving for France on Monday the 16th. inst. We have no further experimental work in hand for the present Phantom except experiments with steering and induction pipes which are to overcome certain faults. As regards the cost to introduce these parts on standard production. We have asked WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} to supply you with this information. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
