Avignon, Montelimar, Lyon, la{L. A. Archer} Tandu Pin, Lyon.
Roads generally good, some very bad stretches.
Strong head wind. Some snow.
Car riding much better and stability better with less bumping after adjustment of shock absorbers; 1/4 turn taken up all round and later an additional 1/6 turn on O.S.F.
Steering sticky on extreme locks.
Controls rattling badly.
Cut-out now O.K. but stiff. Am oiling all joints tonight.
Severe pinking.
1 1/2 pints of water added to radiator to bring up to level.
This is first added for 5,000 miles and has, I consider, been shaken out.

Drivers CWB. with Bgs. and Garner.
