SUSPENSION.

In spite of the fact that there were no less than half a dozen cars on the Stands with novel forms of suspension, only two, apart from those that we tried last year, were actually running demonstration chassis.

The remainder were obviously very much in the embryo stages and will require considerable development before they can be sold to the public.

FARMAN.

We described the rear suspension of this car in our last years' report. This year a transverse front springing has been fitted though the normal front axle has been retained. Axle control is effected by torque rods and each wheel is steered through a worm and nut located at the top of the pivot as will be seen from the attacied illustration. Houdaille shock absorbers were fitted front and rear. A trial run on this car demonstrated that, as it is almost always the case with French cars, the suspension had
