X4105 To RHC. {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 2/T15.1.26. X.4105 - CUTOUT CONTACT POINTS EXPTS. To expedite the standardisation of certain features on the electrical cutout, it is desirable to effect the following changes on chassis :- (1) Would you please have removed from GF.68 the distribution box containing the C type contacts, and have this put on 44-PK in place of the distribution box at present thereon. (2) Would you please have the distribution box removed from 44-PK made up with a spring with .150" neck and rigid backing. It will be found to have the rigid fixed contact point support. In addition, please have this one fitted with Reynold contact points, so that it will contain every item for proposed standardisation, viz.:- (a) Spring with .150" neck. (b) Rigid backing. (c) Rigid fixed contact point support. (d) Reynold contact points. Having done this, it is desired to put this box on 10-GIII for the 10,000 mile test in France. (3) This will release the distribution box from 10-GIII which should first be returned to us for examination and should afterwards be put back on GF.68,if required. Would you please have these changes made at your earliest convenience, it being desired to be able to complete the standardisation of these items in time for the ordering of the material for the new series.
