C. T. Salt, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
Clan Foundry,
BELPER.
Dear Mr. Salt,
We regret the delay in replying to your letter of the 19th inst. owing to the undersigned being away on business.
The engine you refer to is still at our works and is actually running on rig tests at present, and we anticipate having a programme for the engine for quite a time.
The engine in our possession is a car type engine, known as Vulture I, and this is the only number on it. It has mechanical tappets and rockers.
Trusting you find this information satisfactory.
Yours faithfully,
E.G. Fairhurst
