E.8/HP. 11th May 1934.

Messrs. S.U.Co.

We think that grit would tend to follow the flow of the liquid rather than lodge in between the guide facesand the bush.

The bush has also been lengthened upwards to avoid forming a trap in the distributing annulus below the needle seat.

In the S.U. carburetter we designed for application to the 20/25 HP chassis, we arranged the needle guide above the valve seat and emission holes because we thought it would be in a safer position.

We should be glad to know in due course what reactions you get from our proposals.

Yours very truly,

From A.G.ELLIOTT.
