Each test was taken with the engine running until same temperature of water was reached, car was then started under conditions as above stated, and records taken every minute. Tests were stopped when the water commenced to boil. As regards taking temperatures, the water temperature was taken by means of a thermometer in the radiator, the floorboard temperature was taken by means of a thermometer above the loose floorboard, and another below the loose floorboard. The temperatures on the top of the floorboard, are, I am afraid, not very reliable as same are considerably influenced by question of various air currents, direction of wind, and the mere fact of the passenger in the front seat moving his position whilst sitting causing alteration of temperature.
