The air silencer shown in the former print is of the anti-resonant pattern and is surmounted by a metal wool air cleaner, in which a whistle is incorporated to operate when the filtering material is choked. We are also producing a design of air silencer based on our present production models so that the two can be compared for results. LeC.3187 shows proposed scheme of breather connection to crankcase, in which a cast bracket carrying part of the control mechanism is utilized to make the connection to the crankchamber.
