Kindly note, that the information given in this memo has been corroborated from different sources, and it seems that the formalities are quite formal and expeditive.

It has been pointed out to me that the "Touring Acquit" are merely a privilege granted by the French State to promote touring in France (and not a right) that they are granted for a period of six or twelve months, and that there is not any likelihood of a request for an extension being turned down.
