"CORNICHE(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)" EXHAUST SYSTEM.

Please receive herewith :-

E.CD.1362 Front Silencer - "Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)".

The size and general construction of the silencer is very similar to the B.V. only suitable to receive a 3" diameter intake pipe with accommodation at the rear end of the silencer fora cutout valve.

The position of the silencer in the chassis frame is altered from B.V. to suit the conditions obtained with the larger downtake pipe.

The remaining portion of the intermediate pipe between front and rear silencers, other than that shown on this design, is the same as for B.V. to E.CD.969 as also is the rear silencer. A new tail pipe is required to clear the special petrol tank used on the 'Corniche(Bentley streamline(Experimental Streamline Bentley B.23.A.E)d precursor to R Type Continental, never produced)' and the design will be issued for this shortly.

The design for the cutout and its control will also be made.

Will Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /JD. {J. Draper - Frames} please note the altered position of hole in chassis cross to clear the exhaust pipe rear of front silencer.

Will you please detail and instruct the parts experimentally.
