Streamline Bentley.

Thank you for EY/Mtn.3/G8.5.39. and I note you will have further news as to the progress of the bodywork later this week.

There is of course not very much time to lose now if we are to definitely exhibit one of these cars at the next Earls Court Exhibition in October. If necessary, we could of course exhibit it with French coach-work, and by that I mean it is not against the regulations so long as we indicate that it is French coachwork. It does not seem to me that it would be easy to get a body built over here in time.

Will you please let me have before the next Chassis Conference a complete list of all the features on the streamline Bentley chassis which will be different from standard Bentley products, and which will not therefore have been submitted to the 50,000 miles type test.
