EXTENSION No. YOUR REF: OUR REF: WB.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}LW.14.910 FORT DUNLOP ERDINGTON BIRMINGHAM 9th October 1929. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. For attention of Mr. Robotham. Dear Sirs: Referring again to our letter of Septr.27th - we are sending, probably by test car, addressed for Mr. Robotham's personal attention, two 7.00-21 Fort Silent covers in which the tread profile has been altered. We would be grateful to you if you would have these tyres tested and inform us whether they improve the matter of steering referred to in your letter of Septr.16th in a degree sufficiently satisfactory to your good'selves. We quite appreciate that the matters of steering lock and weight of tyres are not dealt with by altered profile, but we hope it will have some effect on points (a), (b), and (c), referred to in your favour of the 16th ult. If you think it would be helpful for us also to send you a couple of tyres 7.00 for 20" rims, we shall be glad to do so if you will be good enough to let us know. Yours faithfully, for DUNLOP RUBBER COMPANY LTD., W. Bond. Development Manager. | ||
