Gentlemen:- We beg to state that the twelve 7/8" Drake Lock-Nuts which we purchased from you six months ago have given complete satisfaction, and we are more than pleased with them. We used these nuts to hold together the flanges of an eighteen inch diameter rawhide pinion which drives our large hoist at the mine. Before placing these nuts on the pinion we used the ordinary jam nuts and were never able to keep the same tight, owing to the constant vibration and to the fact that the rawhide swells. Since using your Lock-Nuts we have had no trouble whatever and we can highly recommend these nuts for any use wherein the vibration is excessive, since we cannot conceive of a more difficult test under which to place them than that which we have described above. Very Truly, TREASURE MINING Co By: F.{Mr Friese} W. Luding Manager. | ||
