Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letter T.3/B. of the 2nd inst., in which you say that you consider the normal Benzole commonly obtainable in England is sufficiently similar to the French variety for test purposes.

We however have very good reason to believe that the French fuel is noticeably inferior to the English Benzole, and for that reason we are anxious to do some testing on the actual fuel which will be supplied at the Le Mans race. We shall be glad, therefore, if you will do your best to obtain for us 50 gallons of French Benzole.
