| FORM N. 234. Anglo-American Oil Company, Limited. NATIONAL SCHEME FOR DISABLED MEN TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT. 83, ALBERT EMBANKMENT, VAUXHALL, London, S.E.11. TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS:- ESSOCHEM-LAMB-LONDON. TELEPHONE No. RELIANCE 1261/6. PLEASE QUOTE Ref. T.3/B. 2nd April, 1936. SUBJECT. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. For the attention of Mr. Grylls. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 1st instant, and would inform you that the French specification given in Article 5 of the Regulations for the 14th Grand Prix D'Endurance is almost identical with the N.B.A. specification for Motor Benzole in common use in this country. Actually, the French specification is rather less stringent than the English one. The ordinary Motor Benzole which we sell in this country will, therefore, pass the French specification in addition to the English one. We have satisfied ourselves that there are no major points of difference between our ordinary Motor Benzole and the grade sold in France, French Benzole being, if anything, slightly inferior. We certainly do not think it would be necessary to get Benzole over specially from France, and have accordingly arranged with our sales people to meet your order with our ordinary Motor Benzole. Yours faithfully, Hl. Yett Manager, TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT. | ||
