To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X235. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M4.3.27. COMBINED HARTFORD & HYDRAULIC DAMPERS ON HIGH SPEED CARS. X.4426 X.235 Herewith we send N.sch.2370 shewing the proposed arrangement of hydraulic shock damper, and harford on the front axle. The position of the hydraulic one is not altered but the connecting rod only shortened, and the ball end on the axle fixed in a new place. The modifications to the mud wing stays to take the Hartford have been instructed at Barker's, and the mudwings will come in with a temporary plate underneath them.
