X496 From Exp. Dept. Copies for: J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} R.{Sir Henry Royce} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Ns.{Norman Scott} Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EH2/L2514. May 2nd. 1914. File Report on Radiator Tests. X.1250, X.1251 & X.1252 We have made tests on the Wolseley, Daimler and Lanchester in exactly the same way as we made the tests on our own cars. The results can be compared with the report Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/EH13/B22414. The Lanchester has no water pump. I have not given the floorboard temperatures because the type of bodies fitted were all widely different, so that I do not think the figures would be reliable. The Daimler radiator is the round tubes with fins on, it looks as though the air is restricted passing through, it would also be difficult to clean any dirt out of the fins as there is no passage straight through, but apart from these points the radiator is very efficient.
