STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.
Description of Parts.
FITTING GLEASON GEARS TO AXLES ON CHASSIS PRIOR TO 1700.
Origin.
To reduce cost of quietening Repair axles.
Experimental Test Report.
This scheme is a modification of the scheme already standardised for existing chassis after 1700 series when fitted with Gleason gears.
Road Test Report.
Over 1000 miles on road.
A considerable amount of running on axle test rig.
Entirely satisfactory results.
