[Strikethrough text] - from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X8420 Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}13/W18/11/25. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I FRONT AXLE. --------------------- Re your memo BY6/H18/11/25, whilst I am always in agreement with progress and the need for fitting anything that Mr.Royce wants at the earliest possible moment, I have to say, with reference to your memo, that only this morning I am taken to task for output temporarily being low, and am asked to prepare a statement, showing how many chassis we can turn out between now and Feb.28th. and I am reminded that we are behind with the number of chassis we have put out from Works to Test during the last three weeks, and can I pick them up again. If the material is going to be held up, as apparently you have arranged with Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} for a series, both A/A and A/B, it is possibly going to materially affect the continuity of output. I think that this matter should be further gone into before any hold-up of ordering material takes place, and I should like confirmation that the Administration have agreed with this hold-up, so that the responsibility of any delay in output will not be laid against anybody at Derby.
