Dear Sirs, We beg to thank you for your letter of the 30th ult., enclosing report on 20 h.p. gauge to F.55744 (K.S.155). CALIBRATION. We note that this gauge is reading one-third of a gallon low all the way up the scale on a fill up. We think that possibly this is accounted for by two things; the angle at which the bell is tilted in this installation, and also by the combination of manufacturing variations, both in the case of the tank flange and our own unit. We are accordingly making a new tank unit for this installation, which will bring the bottom bell | ||
