LABORATORY ADVICE NOTE. NO: 3342. Mr.W.E.Robinson (Tech.Sales) Mr.Toulmin. 17th.September,1937. DHW/CER/E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} TO:- Technical Sales Dept. Please receive herewith, For Messrs.Rolls-Royce. 2- LR{Mr Ellor}7 Regulators mounted on RF50 Boxes, ENS 1202. These have been set to fulfil the requirements of Messrs. Rolls-Royce in their specification for the B2CJ1 Regulator, viz. Output, cold, through complete series winding. (1) at 13 volts, 14-16.5 amps. (2) at 15 " 1- 7.5 " Output, hot, through complete series winding. (1) at 13 volts, 15-18.5 amps. (2) at 15 " 3.5-10.5 amps. The actual settings of the two regulators are as follows:- Open circuit voltage, cold, at 1300 R.P.M., on the Rolls-Royce 4-pole dynamo, 15.8 volts. Output at 14/volts, through complete series winding, 15.5 amps. cold. 18.5 " hot. Output, at 15 volts, through complete series winding, 4 amps, cold. It should be noted that when setting the open circuit voltage of the regulator, 1300 R.P.M on the Rolls-Royce dynamo corresponds to 1450 on our own C45PV 12 volt dynamo, which is our standard condition of setting. ---o0o--- (signed) D.H.W.
