REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS. ✓15520 Reports from France indicate that the drilled high pressure valves on the 'SS{S. Smith}' rear dampers spoilt the riding of the cars for high speed work. We therefore consider that it would be wiser to confine the fitting of the drilled high pressure valves on the 20 HP. to those cars on which definite complaints of knocking shock absorbers have been made. Also that to begin with one .062" hole only should be drilled in the high pressure valve and a second hole should not be resorted to until it has been proved that a single hole is inadequate to prevent complaints.
