-2- At the same time we think we could build aluminium drums 14" in dia, which would be as good as the 16" drums now standard. As we have no design for Ph.III 14" drums we can only estimate the saving, which we say would be, on the whole car, 55 lbs. In the foregoing we have ignored the weight of brake rods, as we say this has not varied much on Ph.II, and Ph.III (or 14" drums Ph.III).
