ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. (7) 19 To Order No. WD {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 92 (contd) Customer's No. make one sample broke down after 1/2 min at 19300 volts R.M.S and the other after 2 mins at same voltage whilst both the "Maconite" Samples successfully withstood 19300 volts RMS for 15 mins! An additional test was made on samples of std "Maconite" cable which had done a 10000 mile test on chassis 22EX in France. These samples successfully withstood 19300 volts R.M.S for 5 mins after 72 hrs immersion in water. Conclusion, These tests shew that although "Glovite" gives a good electrical Signed (contd) This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. RR 228 (150 BKS.)
