Champion Sparking Plug Co.Ltd., 83 Pall Mall, S.W.1.

Yesterday Mr.Hubert W.Craddock, a representative of the above-mentioned firm, called here and informed me that some time ago his firm sent us a number (I think he said 50) Champion sparking plugs for trial and added that when the arrangement to supply those plugs was made we promised that his firm should have a report of the result of our tests.

I informed Mr.Craddock that I had not heard of the matter, but would make enquiries with a view to ascertain the facts. I added, however, that I did not think we should furnish a report regarding the plugs beyond stating whether they were satisfactory or not.

Mr.Craddock informed me that RR.of A.Inc. use the No.8 latest type Champion sparking plug as standard and Mr.Hulley informs me that this is correct.

Will the Department who have undertaken to test the plugs kindly let me know what is being done and when they are in a position to report on the plugs, will they please address the report to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and copy to myself.

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
