| X761 COMPLAINT CASE. S/W. (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}) c. to K.{Mr Kilner} Frazer Nash. B.102-GA. H7/H29.9.36. Mr. Frazer Nash advises us that he has written about a number of points to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and has had a reply from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} stating that K.{Mr Kilner} should be able to deal with the matters. Quite apart Capt. Nash's views on design, we here are only aware of two matters requiring attention, - namely, the detonation from 2500 - 3200 revs per minute which K.{Mr Kilner} has so far not been able to overcome, and a defective voltage control unit. Capt. Frazer Nash says you make "no specific reference to the detonation which occurs at about 2500 revs and I am not aware whether Derby are prepared to give Kingsbury Depot the necessary authority to carry out the details to correct the various points." As this is a complaint case, will you be good enough to advise us of all the matters to which K.{Mr Kilner} should give attention if the car comes in, and give your recommendations as to what should be done this time in the endeavour to overcome the detonation which is not curable by the use of Ethyl or Discol, though less serious with the latter. We attach a copy of our letter to Captain Frazer Nash. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} | ||
