DERBY.

Dear Rowbotham,

I wonder if you have returned from your trip to America ? If so, I am afraid you must have had a very bad crossing on your way back. Anyhow, I hope the trip was a successful one.

As you will see from this paper, I am now at our London Mileage depot, and they have made me "Area Sales Manager", "Mileage Department", but I still look after a few of my old accounts, of which yours is one. So please do not think that my new job means any alteration as regards Messrs. Rolls Royce or Bentley. I am always at your service exactly as before.

I hope to spend Easter up in Yorkshire; and I was wondering if I called at Derby on my way back to London about April 3,4,5 or 6 if there would be any chance of my seeing you, or if that doesn't suit perhaps you could suggest what other date would be more convenient.

I should very much like to hear about your trip; and there are one or two things I should like to talk to you about. And I also want, if possible, to see Mr. Royce for a moment.

Did you read of Mr. Ward's and Mr. Park's successes at the Bournemouth Rally in a Rolls and a Bentley ? They seemed to have done extremely well.

I expect you are very glad to be back home again. I always think that the best part of going Abroad is returning, but perhaps that is because I am an "Insular Scot".

Yours sincerely,

Rothes_
