DATE. like crankshaft periods between 33 and 40 miles per hour ( Engine speed 1000 to 1200 revs ) but we have not so far been able to make any further experiments as regard these balance weights but would like to try difference made to the engine by taking these balance weights off. Without the slipper drive the crank- shaft periods were very bad. 1000 Bad. 1200 Fair. 1500 Very Bad. The total extra weight on engine caused by balance weights is about 63 lbs.
