SPRING COUPLING:- This appears to be quite satisfactory. Made comparative tests fitted with solid coupling. Noticed whilst being driven to London that coronation and retard rattles appeared to be entirely cured. Holgate who was driving said that he could feel them slightly at about 42 miles per hour. This car is fitted with a small type flywheel old standard.

BALANCE WEIGHTS:- These I am afraid were unsatisfactory and did not seem to improve the general running of the engine even at high speeds, in fact if the engine was accelerated to about 2000 revs there was a horrible vibration took place in the engine and kept it up on the retard, gradually dying away as the speed got less, also there seemed to be several vibrations
