X7741b To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from EFC. c. PN.{Mr Northey} c. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} EFC3/AD5.11.29. X.7741b. ACCESSORY DISTRIBUTION BOARD. The difficulty referred to in Mr. Archer's note will be shortly overcome on production by the adoption of the suggestions contained in my report EFC2/122.4.29 to R.{Sir Henry Royce} There will be two positive feeds to this distribution board one fuse each side of the ammeter so, [Handwritten text next to a diagram] Div Board side of ammeter + Battery side of ammeter so that apparatus connected thereto can be put either on or not on the ammeter as considered expedient. A link L provides for one fuse on one side, and two on the other, or two on the one and one on the other side, as desired. There is also an earth terminal on the new board so that twin flexibles can be run from the board. The size of the flexibles should be in accordance with the principles I have previously explained, namely that the size of these should be relatively great in proportion to the size of fuse, even though only a small current has to be carried. I have already suggested 40/.076s as a minimum size of flexible which should be used. EFC. | ||
