X77416 EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} COPY. 1.11.29. RE LIGHTING SCHEME. HEAD LAMPS 40/50. In view of the fact that the Lucas Head Lamp using two bulbs, one dim and one bright, is being used to a very great extent, do you not consider that we should make some arrangement on the chassis to deal with the wiring up of same. At present the coachbuilders are wiring up for this job, and it means that at present they have to cut into our wires. You are perhaps aware that with this type of lamp a two-way switch is needed to operate this job properly and this switch is provided by Lucas. Another point brought up by the Coachbuilders is that in most cases they have now to fit two cigar lighters. As these lighters take something like 15 amps. each, if both lighters are used at the same time, the fuse would most likely be blown. It is then quite likely that a heavier gauge fuse would be used with consequent damage to the ammeter, etc. (Sgd). L.Archer. | ||
