Dear Sirs,
Main Bearings in Aluminium Alloy.
We wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 3rd inst. and also two sets of main bearing blanks which arrived last week, and we note these are supplied in your new alloy known as A.C.9.
In view of the change of material, we should be glad if you would confirm that the desired clearance remains unchanged, i.e. 1.3 thous. per inch of diameter.
