RE STEERING LEVER ON "INDIA".

The combined Steering Lever G.52315 which represents the old lever bent to the new form shown on the drawing quoted, has been agreed to by Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} in view of the fact that I took exception to his proposals which altered not only the lever in question, but the length of the cross steering lever on the same unit, and the separate cross steering lever, whilst at the same time altering the cross steering tube and the side steering tubes in regard to length.

The position now is that I will have to take up the matter with Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and CJ.

In the meantime, Mr.D'Aeth will issue G.52315 to the Works, and attention should be given to same in regard to making a template and altering forgings ready to go ahead when I get CJ's consent.
