RE: TEST BEDS AND TEST TACKLE.

Order numbers 815 and 816 should be used only for Test Bed installations and should not be used in connection with any other Test Tackle.

Order numbers 554 and 555 are now extended to cover Test Rigs and Test Tackle(other than Test Bed installations) in whatsoever departments are using such rigs and tackle. These order numbers will be charged departmentally, so it will be necessary in every case to suffix the order number with the number of the department chargeable.

Thus, if a Test Rig used by, say, Dept.472 is being repaired or altered, the order number would be 554/472.

Test Tackle should not be confused with Motors, Starters, Switch Gear, as this is costed under capital plant expense for which a special scheme is in vogue. In these cases no order number should be quoted. The Office will arrange this.

The descriptions of the order numbers mentioned above, now read as follows :-

815 Aero Engine Test Bed installations - Maintenance.
816 Chassis " " " " - "
554 Aero " " Rigs and Departmental Test Tackle Maintenance.
555 Chassis " " " " " " Test Tackle Maintenance.

Will you please see this procedure is adopted forthwith, any queries arising, confer with -
