| GEAR BOXES (Contd.) (10) thought his tests were, however, inconclusive. Mr. Platford suggested that our gear box test rig should be completely re-designed in such a manner that the box itself could be placed in an isolated cubicle and run under various conditions of power and speed, the control for this purpose being placed in the cubicle, but the driving mechanism to be outside. The Committee agreed that such a scheme was worth consideration and should be re- discussed. | ||
