We want to try a ventilated clutch on the Bentley. This is to give increased durability particularly with "rubber" facings, use of weaker thrust springs, and less sponge in operating systems due to the more rigid cover. The B. & B ventilated clutches are interchangeable with the present type but they require a ventilated bell-housing if advantage is to be taken of the air circulation. We attach herewith a print supplied by B. & B showing the arrangement of ventilation holes which they recommend and also a sketch of how a Bentley clutch casing could be modified. Will you please detail and make us two of these casings. We should like them to be interchangeable with the present Bentley casing except that the trunnion shaft should be moved back 1/8" as was recently done in the case of the 25/30 HP.
