With reference to the forks on the rod between the intermediate lever and the clutch operating shaft, although on the main scheme we show these made from square bar we remark in our memo E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.10.3.36 that we prefer the forged forks as shown on the same drawing. We see from the pieces which have been made by the Experimental Department that the square forks have been instructed, but we should be glad if you would kindly alter the instruction so that forks subsequently made are of the forged type.
