We are sending the above car into the fitting shop for attention to the following jobs :- (1) Steering much too stiff - dismantle and examine pivot pins and bushes. (2) Dismantle front shock dampers and send to W.Bell - ride is too hard at the front. (3) Dismantle shock damper governor unit and send to W.Bell - insufficient range. (4) Fit correct clutch operating levers. (5) Fit pedal shaft stay to engine at correct angle. (6) Fit GW.779 solid transmission shaft as per Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}2/AP.11.2.38. (7) Exhaust system - fit flanged joint to front intermediate pipe as shown on EW.1452 and EW.696 and weld up existing sliding joints. Weld up rear sliding joint of rear intermediate pipe solid with rear silencer. (8) Fit another pair of bonnet top plates to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std's instructions.
