RE MAGNETO CONTROL TUBE ON 40/50 CHASSIS.

You will remember that at the Conference on June 19th. you raised the question of oil leakage from the engine body where the magneto control tube passes through. We have looked into this matter, and our impression is that this trouble only occurs on very early cars as we originally experienced this trouble, and made some slight improvements which as far as I am aware entirely overcame the trouble. Will you kindly inform me if the trouble to which you refer, occurs on later cars or only on earlier ones. If we are still having trouble on the later cars we propose to fit the tube in accordance with Mr. Royce's suggestion, but we do not wish to do this unnecessarily.
