X.3604 With reference to Mr. Hanbury's complaint of the oil leaking from the Magneto Control tube, this was a complaint on very early cars - we afterwards made some improvements which overcame the trouble. I should anticipate that it is on cars previous to the improvements where the complaint occurs. We think, however, that Mr. Royce's suggestion of fixing a tube permanently into the crankcase and working the control inside it is the only positive way of over-coming the trouble. Would Mr. Day please instruct a scheme for this. EH. | ||
