For the attention of Mr Hives.

Dear Sirs,

We enclose a note on Flywheel Starter Gear Rings, which we trust will be of interest to you.

If you are already using separate gear rings we should be obliged if you would kindly pass on this letter to your Buying Dept.

Messrs Holden & Hunt are specialists in Electric Butt & Spot welding, and apply this process in the manufacture of various Auto-mobile parts, such as Brake Cams welded to shaft, Brake Drum Stiffener Bands and the Composite Steel Brake Drum.

We wrote you in connection with the last named item on April 1st, and we should be interested to know if you are able to give favourable consideration to the matter. We have about 12 different makes of cars fitted with these drums for experimental purposes and they are all reported favourably upon. One maker of a very high class car has already standardised them.

Trusting to be favoured with your esteemed enquiries, which would have prompt and careful attention.

Yours Faithfully,
For Pratt & Manley,
W. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Baylis
